The number of residents living in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties increased by 82,000 from 2016 to 2017, according to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Most of the growth came from the Inland Empire's two counties, with Riverside adding nearly 37,000 residents and San Bernardino growing by another 20,000 new residents.
