BenchMarks DC 2017

BenchMarks DC was held on November 9, 2017 at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. A large audience of the commercial real estate industry’s senior decision-makers heard Greg Leisch, NKF’s Senior Managing Director of Market Research, deliver a summary of key trends that will shape Washington’s commercial real estate market and economy in the period ahead. Following the market overview, NKF bestowed its lifetime achievement award on John (Chip) Akridge III, founder and chairman of AKRIDGE, for his creation of a highly successful firm and for his civic activities of distinction. Concluding the program, Sandy Paul, NKF’s Senior Managing Director of National Research, then conducted an exclusive, one-on-one interview with the Honorable Larry Hogan, Governor of Maryland. They discussed economic opportunity, regional challenges, and ways in which the commercial real estate industry and the public sector could collaborate effectively.

Guests at the invitation-only event then adjourned to a networking reception on the gallery’s famous third floor, which once hosted President Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural ball.

Newmark Knight Frank thanks CohnReznick, EagleBank, Bozzuto, and Hartman Design Group for their sponsorship of BenchMarks DC 2017.
