Newmark Knight Frank Retail offers project management services devoted exclusively to the retail sector, with expertise in programming, planning and execution of new store builds out or renovation assignments.

The mission of the project management division is to provide retailers with the management tools necessary to make prudent business decisions. As an extension of the client's real estate team, we guide retailers from the initial site selection to the store opening, acting as a conduit through which all project information is transmitted, recorded and distributed. The scalable, in-house resources provide businesses with the expertise necessary to ensure an efficient project rollout.

Retail Project Management Services Include:

  • Prepare project schedules and budgets encompassing all critical activities and related project costs
  • Establish the appropriate project team, guiding the selection of the architect, engineer and other necessary consultants
  • Monitor the design for conformance to aesthetics, budget and timing
  • Solicit bids, make recommendations and negotiate contracts for necessary work
  • Oversee and administer the construction process, submitting periodic reports to the client
  • Assist in procuring all necessary specialty systems such as security, telephone, data and point-of-sale items
  • Perform site review and participate in final payment negotiations with vendors
  • Arrange maintenance agreements for the daily operation of the site
