Two HQ Renewals and an Expansion Bring the Building to 100 Percent Occupancy

Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) announced today, that the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and SoundExchange have both renewed leases at 733 10th Street, NW, Washington, DC.

NAM is keeping its 41,732-square-foot space through 2030. SoundExchange is renewing and expanding to 39,486 square feet in the high-profile building. These leases bring the Class-A building to 100 percent occupancy.

NAM is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states. The organization plans a full workplace renovation of its space to transform and personalize the association's long-term home.

SoundExchange is a Congress-designated nonprofit that collects and distributes royalties to the artists behind digital recordings. Its expansion reflects the organization's success as it deepens its footprint 733 10th Street.

"NAM is flourishing, and the event-heavy nature of the association's operations influenced the decision to overhaul its space so that it is capable of hosting speakers and networking events in-house," said NKF's Morgan Monroe. "SoundExhange is working on behalf of its 170,000-member community and the expansion will accommodate the company's expanding role in the music industry."

Built in 2011, the Skanska-developed office building sits in the heart of the amenity-rich East End submarket. It is within a five-minute walk to all six metro lines by way of the Metro Center and Gallery Place-Chinatown stations. Expansive glass window lines flood the building with natural light. The building has a rooftop greenspace with a catering kitchen and restroom facilities, tenant-only fitness center, concierge service and 128 parking spaces.

Chairman, Metropolitan Washington Asset Services Brendan Owen and Associate Morgan Monroe of NKF brokered the deals on behalf of ownership. Sherry Cushman of Cushman & Wakefield represented SoundExchange, while Cresa's Sam Heiber and Richard Rhodes represented the National Association of Manufacturers.
