Newmark is pleased to announce the expansion of five Valuation & Advisory (V&A) offices throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, led by Senior Managing Director, Newmark V&A Market Leader and Industrial/Logistics Practice Leader, Robert J. Vodinelic, MAI, MRICS. Dynamic teams have been established in its Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville offices. Ryan Cloern and Jennifer Cundiff are the newest members of the 18-person regional team, which also includes Thomas Sherick, MAI, Kelly Fried, MAI, Ron Dooman, MAI, Julie Kahn, and Robert Kamb. These professionals bring deep experience across the full spectrum of core asset types and several specialty practices, setting up the regional V&A practice for continued leadership within these markets.
Ryan Cloern joins Newmark’s Louisville office as vice president, focusing on Kentucky commercial real estate. Previously from Valbridge Property Advisors, he brings with him more than 15 years of experience in appraisals, market studies and consulting services for a wide variety of commercial property types with an emphasis in the multifamily sector.
Vice President, Jennifer Cundiff, is also based in Newmark’s Louisville office and focuses on the preparation of appraisal reports on a broad spectrum of property types. Ms. Cundiff has more than 15 years of experience working with clients on a wide variety of property types, including retail buildings and shopping centers; restaurants; auto dealerships; office buildings; and industrial facilities. She also joins Newmark from Valbridge Property Advisors.
Thomas Sherick brings more than 25 years of experience to Newmark’s Cincinnati office, serving the Southwest Ohio area as senior vice president. His areas of expertise include appraisal reports for a variety of property types, valuation analyses on TIF arrangements, a variety of tax abatements and litigation assignments, including appraisal preparation and expert witness testimony. He previously worked for more than 19 years with Gem Real Estate Advisory Group.
Kelly Fried also services the Southwest Ohio area as senior vice president and is based in the Cincinnati office. She has more than 17 years of experience in preparing appraisal reports across a wide spectrum of property types, providing valuation and consulting services on federal and historical tax credits, TIF and tax abatements. She has also prepared and provided expert witness testimony in litigation assignments and tax appeal cases throughout the region. She was most recently a Senior Vice President at Gem Real Estate Advisory Group, where she spent 11 years of her career.
Senior Vice President, Ron Dooman, based in Newmark’s Indianapolis office, brings with him more than 14 years of experience in the valuation industry. He has worked across a spectrum of property types and provided valuation analyses on a variety of tax credits, TIF arrangements, financing subsidies and tax abatements. He also has experience with financial reporting assignments, including FASB/IFRS compliant debt valuation and purchase price allocation. He joins Newmark from Capital One/ GE Capital, where he spent three years. Dooman also spent three years at Cushman & Wakefield and held senior roles at CBRE and ARC/David A. Kunkel/Peterson Appraisal Group earlier in his career.
Julie Kahn brings with her more than 11 years of experience to Newmark’s Columbus office as vice president, working across a wide variety of property types including office, industrial, medical use facilities and special use assets. She joins Newmark from Cushman & Wakefield, where she spent approximately two and a half years. She also spent time earlier in her career at Ohio’s Office of Real Estate and Planning.
Vice President, Robert Kamb, based in the Columbus office, has more than 15 years of experience providing appraisal and consulting services to investors across a number of property types, including a particular focus in the multifamily sector. Prior to joining Newmark, he worked at Cushman & Wakefield for six years, serving as a member of the firm’s national Multi-Family Practice Group. He also previously worked at Wells Fargo and Vogt Strategic Insights.
