The leading international network for exchanging knowledge between the real estate industry, the IT sector and blockchain technology, FIBREE, is pleased to announce its immediate expansion to the U.S. and South America in January, 2019. Newmark Executive Managing Director Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED AP, in the company’s Chicago office, has been named the Chicago Regional Chair for the organization in conjunction with FIBREE’s U.S. expansion.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, FIBREE is a not-for-profit organization that aims to be an essential global voice and top international network for the facilitation of blockchain knowledge and exchange amongst the real estate and IT sectors where blockchain technology is applicable. By expanding the successful, decentralized meetup network across the world, FIBREE will also enhance the exchange between different local hubs as well as intensify the exchange between corporations, startups, tech-companies and related experts.
Since its recent founding in July 2018, FIBREE is already active in eight European countries (Austria, Croatia, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovenia), three Asian countries (India, Israel and Taiwan), and Australia, with an active network of over 2,000 blockchain and real estate enthusiasts. FIBREE’s eight co-founders are experienced real estate experts and early blockchain adopters who can furthermore access a robust, vetted network of more than 15,000 like-minded professionals around the world. FIBREE will be further expanding its network in the Americas and other countries throughout 2019. Membership in FIBREE is free.
“By expanding our organization into the Americas, we are further accomplishing our goal in reaching real estate, finance and IT professionals with blockchain interests across the world,” said FIBREE President Achim Jedelsky. “Further, naming Geoffrey as one of our regional chairpersons for the U.S. expansion was ideal. His tech-centric real estate expertise and his shared vision on blockchain use in real estate along with his proven global leadership experience made him perfect for the position.”
“FIBREE is poised to shape and lead the global conversation on blockchain’s optimal use cases for real estate, so the opportunity to be in the mix from the beginning was irresistible,” stated Kasselman. “It’s all about forging adoption, scale and change management - and shaping the future of the entire real estate industry.”
FIBREE’s additional appointments in the Americas include:
• Alexandra “Sasha” Levin Kramer - North America Coordinator
• John Dean Markunas and Gregory Yakubov - New York Regional Co-Chairs
• Brock Freeman - Seattle Regional Chair
• Eric Bryant - Orange County (Los Angeles) Regional Chair
• Pete Su and Ranga Krishnan - San Francisco / Silicon Valley Regional Co-Chairs
• Rafael Stocco - Sao Paolo, Brazil Regional Chair
