Newmark is pleased to announce the launch of its Government Practice Group in Mexico City - the only of its kind in the country. A team of professionals, led by industry veterans Executive Managing Director Manuel García and Managing Director Iván González, joined the Newmark Mexico City office in order to advise local and federal government clients.

With nearly 45 years of combined career experience, Mr. García and Mr. González have advised the Mexican Government in annual transactions totaling 450,000 square feet on average. They each bring diverse and robust government experience, including turnkey lease operations, property and portfolio sales and joint venture transactions. In addition to García and González, notable industry professionals Associate Directors María Fernanda García and Alejandra García joined Newmark in support of the Government Practice Group’s Mexico City operation.

The team has handled some of the largest government transactions in Mexico, and have worked with high-profile government entities such as the Tax Administration Service, the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources, the Federal Institute for Access to Public Information and Data Protection, the Federal Telecommunications Institute, the Federal Court of Administrative Justice and the Attorney General’s Office. Additionally, the Government Practice Group has worked with private companies such as AXA, ING, Profuturo GNP, Actinver, EDF, Novo Nordisk, Manpower Group and Safran.
