Newmark is pleased to announce that it has hired Executive Managing Director Jenna Barnett to work out of its Indianapolis office and to expand its tenant representation practice in the Midwest. Barnett will report directly to Executive Vice President Mike Gerard, who oversees regional operations for the firm’s offices in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan.
Widely known as one of the top office tenant-representative brokers in Indianapolis, Barnett specializes in representing high-growth clients, both locally and nationally as well as global occupiers for many of the country’s best-known businesses. Her propensity for developing relationships and closing complex transactions has allowed Barnett to develop a unique skill set to adapt to each client’s exclusive requirements by reconciling cost and culture in support of their short- and long-term goals.
“Jenna’s work in the Indianapolis market stands out, having sustained success in both winning new business and growing existing clients. The market holds her in high regard,” said Gerard. “Her ability to leverage the Newmark global platform is well-established, and we are confident that she will play an important role in supporting the growth of our Indianapolis brokerage operations.”
A select few of Barnett’s notable clients include Salesforce; Woodhouse Day Spas; Cheetah Digital; and Hall, Render, Killian Heath & Lyman, P.C., and select transactions include Salesforce Tower representing Salesforce, 247,000 square feet; 36 South Pennsylvania Street representing Salesforce (formerly ExactTarget), 117,398 square feet; Market Tower representing Strada, 36,437 square feet; and 8425 Woodfield Crossing Boulevard representing Nelnet, 61,576 square feet. She has received several significant awards and recognitions throughout her career, including NAIOP’s Best Office Transaction for Salesforce Tower; placement on Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list; CoStar’s Power Broker award; and Newmark’s Top Producers award.
“My ability to anchor the Newmark platform locally will be instrumental to serving my clients and growing market share,” said Barnett. “I look forward to influencing the collaborative spirit of the local Newmark office as we aggressively pursue national and global opportunities from Indianapolis.”
Barnett’s hire and Newmark’s Indianapolis presence is essential to providing comprehensive coverage throughout the Midwest, and is integrated with the firm’s demonstrated growth strategy, having acquired multiple offices in Ohio.
