Newmark announced today the promotion of David Hardcastle to managing director. Mr. Hardcastle will continue to specialize in tenant representation, research, analysis and lease negotiation in the Washington metropolitan area. Some of his clients include Acon Investments, African Wildlife Foundation, Bully Pulpit Interactive, Every Town for Gun Safety, Fed Med, Integreon, Moore and Lee and Vacation.com.

Mr. Hardcastle joined Newmark in 2010 as an associate and most recently held the position of director. Since beginning his career at Newmark, Mr. Hardcastle has received numerous accolades and awards. He most recently was invited to attend Newmark’s Top Producers meeting and was awarded the firm’s first ever Rising Star Award in 2013.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Hardcastle served as a consultant for Chemonics International at its Washington, DC headquarters, working as part of a team that expanded the company by winning over $800 billion in new business.
In addition to his career success, Mr. Hardcastle is also very active with Club Hero, a non-profit dedicated to helping vulnerable children in sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Hardcastle holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Arizona State University.
