Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark announced that three former Grubb & Ellis Company top producers joined the firm’s Walnut Creek office as part of its commercial real estate brokerage team. Rick Steffens and Knute Bucklew will enhance the firm’s office leasing and sales group and Adria Giacomelli will bolster the retail division. Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark also announced today that it has added a total of 28 former Grubb & Ellis agents to its Northern California roster, including these Walnut Creek agents.

Rick Steffens joins the Walnut Creek office as senior vice president. Formerly a director of Grubb & Ellis‘ Office Division group, the 36-year veteran will remain focused on office leasing and sales, concentrating on the I-680 and I-580 corridor of the Bay Area. Throughout his career, Steffens has been recognized for his achievements, receiving coveted honors such as “Bishop Ranch Broker of the Year”, “Company Top Producer” for 20 of the last 23 years, four-time “Grubb & Ellis National Top 20 Broker” and the East Bay Business Times’ 2001 “Broker of the Year”.

Vice President Knute Bucklew plans to continue to focus on office leasing and sales along the I-680 corridor of the East Bay market. A former Grubb & Ellis vice president and consistent “Top Producer”, Bucklew has completed more than 700 transactions in the past 10 years.
Senior Associate Adria Giacomelli specializes in landlord representation for retail centers throughout Northern California and currently represents more than three million square feet of retail space. A former Grubb & Ellis associate, she began her career in commercial real estate with Sperry Van Ness in 2004 and has received honors including “Rookie of the Year”, “National Rising Star” and CoStar “Power Broker”.
