Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) continues to build its Mid-Atlantic expertise by recruiting top leasing brokers Andy Klaff, Jeff Tarae and Katherine Pelonero to the NGKF Tysons, Virginia office. The team joins NGKF from Colliers International, having previously worked at Grubb and Ellis prior to its merge with NGKF.
“Andy, Jeff and Katherine are an established, market leading team in the Northern Virginia market. They have built a phenomenal reputation among clients and peers as expert, creative leasing brokers. We are thrilled to have them join us,” said Brendan Owen, chairman of asset services for the Washington, D.C., region.
Klaff joins NGKF as executive managing director. In his previous position at Colliers, he led Northern Virginia Brokerage operations. He brings 26 years of experience in landlord and tenant representation, working with some of the region’s most prominent financial and real estate companies such as Carr Properties, Clark Advisors and Prudential Real Estate Investors.
Tarae joins NGKF as managing director. He has marketed numerous Class A office projects in Northern Virginia for institutional and entrepreneurial owners and developers, as well as represented tenant interests of many well-known national and regional companies within metropolitan Washington, D.C. Tarae serves as commissioner of the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission, is a board member of Tysons Partnership and chairs the Partnership’s emerging leaders subcommittee.
Pelonero comes to NGKF as an associate director with experience representing both tenants and landlords such as Penzance Companies, Carr Properties and Vornado. She brings a creative approach to marketing properties in the Northern Virginia office market, which has led to successful transactions on behalf of her clients.
NGKF’s Tysons office offers comprehensive real estate services for owners and occupiers of space, including landlord representation, tenant representation, property management, and sales and leasing services in office, retail, commercial condominium, undeveloped land, industrial, investment and government real estate.
