Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark today announced that ULTA Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (ULTA) is expanding its footprint in the Bay Area with four new locations in Alameda, Colma, Napa and Petaluma. ULTA Beauty currently maintains eight Bay Area storefronts in Brentwood, Dublin, Fremont, San Bruno, San Mateo, Santa Rosa, and two in San Jose.
Sean O’Carroll and Cece Vohs Cimino, retail specialists and vice presidents with Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark, exclusively represent ULTA Beauty in its greater Bay Area real estate requirements.

Just ten years ago, ULTA Beauty operated 100 stores generating approximately $350 million in revenue. Today, with one of the best secular growth stories in retail, ULTA Beauty has nearly 500 stores generating $2 billion in revenue and there is still tremendous projected growth ahead. The company has targeted operating 1,200 stores as a long-term goal and it is well on its way. At the end of 2011, ULTA Beauty operated 449 stores in 43 states; as of July 28, 2012 it operated 489 stores in 45 states. ULTA Beauty expects to open 100 new stores in 2012.
ULTA Beauty’s new locations include:
• Alameda South Shore Center. Located at the junction of Otis and Park in Alameda, Calif., this location is slated to open in the spring of 2013. Other tenants include Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, Ross, Safeway and Trader Joe’s. Landlord Jamestown Properties was represented by Julie Taylor and Stephen Rusher of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark.
• 280 Metro Center. Located at the junction of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Colma Boulevard in Colma, Calif., the storefront is slated to open in the fall of 2012. Other tenants occupying the Kimco-owned property include Bed, Bath & Beyond, Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls and Old Navy.
• Napa Crossings. Located at the junction of Trancas Street and California Avenue in Napa, Calif., the location is slated to open in the fall of 2012. Other tenants of the shopping center include Walgreens and Vitamin Shoppe. Napa Crossings is located across the street from Whole Foods and Target. • East Washington Place. Located at East Washington and Highway 101 in Petaluma, Calif., this Regency Centers-owned power center is under construction and due to open in 2013. Other tenants of the shopping center include Target, Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sprout’s Farmers Market.
