Newmark is pleased to announce that Jason Perla will lead its recently established New York Consulting Group. Perla and his team will be responsible for incorporating financial analysis and consulting expertise into the firm’s New York projects. This team is the first of its kind at Newmark and will provide dedicated resources, strategic consulting and industry expertise.
An 18-year veteran of the real estate business with more than 15 million RSF of transactions to his name, Perla brings significant transactional experience to this new practice within Newmark. Most recently, Perla worked at Savills Studley, where his responsibilities included strategic planning, financial modeling and lease negotiations. During his tenure, Perla consulted on the firm’s highest profile leasing transactions throughout the tri-state area.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Newmark family in this new capacity,” said Perla. “Newmark is committed to strategically building up our new team and broader network, in a progressive and forward-looking manner that centers on client strategy, innovation and expertise.”
“Having Jason as part of the team is critical to the success of this new platform,” said Newmark Chief Executive Officer Barry Gosin. “His added experience will help Newmark remain competitive and provide strategic capacity for our platforms and practice groups on a global scale.”
Prior to Savills Studley, Perla worked as an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers in the global real estate group where he analyzed investment opportunities in selected office, residential and retail center projects for the firm’s private equity fund.
