Web-Based Enterprise Platform Anaplan Relocating to 11K SF on West 33rd Street

Anaplan, a connected planning platform, will have significantly larger offices when it moves to 111 West 33rd Street. The company took 10,695 square feet in a prebuilt space on the entire 26th floor of the building between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue, Commercial Observer can first report.

The lease, signed last Thursday, is for five years and the asking rent was $69 per square foot, a spokeswoman for landlord Empire State Realty Trust indicated.

When asked why Anaplan is relocating from 2,215 square feet at One Grand Central Place, the ESRT spokeswoman said that the firm “is growing within our portfolio.”

Keith Cody of ESRT, along with Newmark (NMRK) Knight Frank’s Scott Klau, Erik Harris and Neil Rubin, represented the landlord in the deal. The tenant was represented by Sacha Zarba of CBRE (CBRE) and Cushman & Wakefield (CWK)‘s Timothy Hay and Brian Hay. Spokeswomen for NKF didn’t immediately provide a comment and Zarba and a C&W spokeswoman declined to comment.

CO reported last September that web-based enterprise communications provider Diligent Corp. signed a lease for 44,700 square feet in the 26-story 728,429-square-foot building. Other tenants include life sciences strategy consultancy ClearView Healthcare Partners, Macy’s and ESRT’s corporate headquarters.
