Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) is pleased to announce the addition of two team members to the Orlando, Florida office. NGKF welcomes both Dan Caligiuri and Jason Schrago as executive managing directors, leading Orlando’s market efforts for NGKF. Together Caligiuri and Schrago deliver a combined 55-year track record of proven experience in the Orlando market. They have secured economic incentives for many local corporate and regionally headquartered clients, generating more than $15 million in awards from state and local municipalities.
“As the top city for job growth, Orlando is one of the increasingly competitive markets within the southeast,” said Brett Hunsaker, executive vice president and regional managing director for NGKF in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. “We have recruited two of the top producers within the Orlando market. These heavy-hitters bring the right experience to the table and align with the culture we are building. This new team will strengthen our proficiencies from a local footprint perspective, as well as grow the region on a larger level.”
Caliguiri and Schrago have worked for some of the nation’s top commercial real estate firms, including Trammell Crow Company and CNL Commercial Real Estate. NGKF is also pleased to welcome Penny Ezell as a transaction coordinator; she has worked with both Caligiuri and Schrago for over 16 years, and the two credit her role on the team as a key to their success. These new additions to the Orlando office will provide a full range of services including tenant representation, site selection and advisory consulting.
Caligiuri has over 30 years of corporate business development and brokerage experience both nationally and internationally across a variety of business sectors. He will lead new business development initiatives, as well as perform economic incentive negotiation. Caligiuri is an active member of the local community, serving as a volunteer for the Special Olympics of Central Florida. In 2010, Caligiuri established The Professional Circle (TPC), which is designed to guide, coach and network recent college graduates on career decisions and professional placement. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Florida.
Schrago will be responsible for business development and execution of all commercial real estate offerings. With over 23 years of experience in leading office space transactional needs, Schrago has represented some of the country’s most recognized companies. As an active participant within the community, Schrago is a member of the Community Coordinated Care for Children (4C) board, a member of the Heart of the City Foundation’s President Council and serves as a board member with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Tampa.
“The success of any business comes from establishing trusted relationships predicated on providing exceptional client service and creating favorable outcomes, said Caliguri. “NGKF provides the platform for us to deliver unparalleled value to both existing and new clients,” added Schrago.
