Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) is pleased to announce that two of the nation’s leading industrial brokers have been tapped to join the firm’s fast-growing national industrial practice. John McMillan has been named as executive managing director and Jeff Sanita has joined as senior managing director. McMillan and Sanita will be based out of NGKF’s El Segundo office. Some of their high profile clients have included Valspar, Smurfit-Stone, Kohl’s, CR Laurence, Prologis, Prudential, and First Industrial.
“John and Jeff bring exceptional talent and a strong industry track record to our dynamic full-service global platform,” said NGKF’s Executive Managing Director, National Industrial Practice, Geoffrey Kasselman. “This announcement is yet another high-profile validation that the momentum and direction of NGKF’s industrial services group is world class and is a significant value-add to such best-in-class brokers and their clients. And there is more to come!”
McMillan has been an industrial broker in Los Angeles for nearly 26 years, with the past 24 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was one of the firm’s top industrial brokers annually. He has a full-service background assisting clients with building and site acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, tenant relocations, institutional landlord agency representation and development assignments. Over the course of his career he has completed more than 1,100 transactions, totaling over $2.67 billion.
Sanita has 19 years of experience as an industrial broker in Los Angeles. Prior to joining NGKF, he served as senior director at Cushman & Wakefield. He has a varied background assisting clients with building and site acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, institutional landlord representation, and major relocation and development assignments. Sanita has completed more than 1,000 transactions, with a total value in excess of $2.43 billion.
“John and Jeff have been a major force in the Southern California industrial market. We are thrilled to be adding them to our ranks, further elevating our dominance at the local and national level,” said Regional Managing Director Greg May with NGKF. “John and Jeff are representative of the entrepreneurial market leaders who are looking to NGKF as the right platform to further build on their success.”
“Jeff and I were very impressed with the level of activity and investment we have witnessed from NGKF both locally and across the U.S., and especially over the last year or so,” said McMillan. “The talent the firm has been attracting is world class. Once we dug in and really explored the platform, it became obvious to both of us that it was by far the best firm out there to support our industrial practice moving forward.”
