Chembio Diagnostic Systems is expanding with its leasing of a Hauppauge building.

Chembio, which specializes in the development, manufacture and commercialization of diagnostic solutions, just leased a 70,000-square-foot building on 5.75 acres at 555 Wireless Blvd.

The Medford-based company was assisted with economic incentives from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency for its Hauppauge expansion.

Publicly traded Chembio reported revenue of between $33.1 million and $33.4 million for 2018, an increase of about 39 percent compared with its 2017 numbers.

Chembio’s products, which help diagnose infectious diseases, are sold globally, directly and through distributors, to hospitals and clinics, physician offices, clinical laboratories, public health organizations, government agencies, and consumers.

David Hunt of Hunt Corporate Services represented Chembio, while Jack O’Connor and Dan Gazzola of Newmark Knight Frank represented landlord Reliance Communications in the Hauppauge lease transaction.
