Ron R. Dooman MAI, AI-GRS, CFA

Senior Vice President

Ron Dooman, MAI, AI-GRS, CFA, joined Newmark Knight Frank Valuation & Advisory in 2018 and currently serves as a senior vice president in the Indianapolis office.

A 14-year valuation industry veteran, Mr. Dooman has worked with clients on a wide variety of property types, including medical and professional office, seniors housing, healthcare, industrial, multifamily, affordable, retail and mixed-use assets for lending. He has also provided valuation analyses on low income housing tax credits (LIHTC), federal and state historic tax credits, tax increment financing (TIF) arrangements and a number of financing subsidies and tax abatements. Mr. Dooman has significant experience with financial reporting assignments, including FASB/IFRS compliant debt valuation and purchase price allocation (PPA).

Mr. Dooman joined Newmark Knight Frank after serving as a senior manager in RETECHS at Capital One and as a vice president of valuations at GE Capital. He served as a valuation leader for healthcare, medical office and life sciences for the CRE lending platforms of both of those entities. Prior to GE Capital and Capital One, Mr. Dooman was a vice president at CBRE, where he worked on seniors housing, medical office and financial reporting assignments. He completed debt valuation and purchase price allocation assignments for a variety of underlying property types. He previously worked in Cushman & Wakefield's Chicago office, as an associate director specializing in healthcare and senior housing properties as well as multifamily and affordable housing. He served in a similar capacity while working as a senior appraiser at Appraisal Research Counselors (now IRR).

Mr. Dooman embarked upon his valuation career in 2005, after gaining experience in investment banking, real estate investment management and asset management. He served for more than two-and-a-half years as an investment analyst with Weybridge Capital, a syndicator and asset manager of grocery store-anchored neighborhood shopping center investments. This followed nearly four years as a credit analyst/underwriter at the legacy Japanese money center banks of what are now Mizuho and MUJF. He had spent all of 1997 as an asset management associate at Walton Street Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm.
