Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) announced that it has made the InformationWeek 500 for the fourth consecutive year. The annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology this year recognizes the global commercial real estate services provider’s proprietary NGKF Vision data integration system and dashboard tool.
The 2012 list was revealed at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, Calif.
“NGKF Vision is Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s most innovative development in recent years and is unique in its capability for resolving our clients’ most challenging problems in managing commercial real estate portfolios,” said Newmark Grubb Knight Frank CEO Barry Gosin. “The NGKF analytics team based this tool on the principle that effective management begins with accurate, fast, and cost-effective data, and ends with understanding that data in order to drive change. We are honored to have InformationWeek recognize our efforts in this area.”
NGKF Vision increases the capabilities of any given organization to optimize a real estate portfolio. Newmark Vision reads data from any data source to allow on-demand reporting of metrics and key performance indicators in a centralized system. The system overcomes problems associated with coalescing data from myriad sources and formats, and does so faster and more accurately than previously thought possible.
NGKF Vision is built on a Business Intelligence (BI) platform to aggregate data from clients, outside data sources and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s own benchmark studies. NGKF developed dashboard reporting capabilities to apply its subject-matter expertise, and then created a process to accelerate reporting. The result - NGKF Vision - combines reporting technology with business analytics, providing business intelligence, analyzing data, and quickly evaluating “what-if” scenarios.
NGKF Global Corporate Services Chairman Michael Ippolito, stated, “NGKF Vision can be implemented for a client in less than eight weeks, compared to the typical integrated software approach built on database and CAD technology that can take one to two years. Coupled with process improvement, the technology has enabled clients to cut their real estate spending by 10 percent to 20 percent. It sets us apart in the industry.”
InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America’s best-known companies. Top winners have included: The Vanguard Group, CME Group, Conway, National Semiconductor, Kimberly-Clark, Hilton Hotels and Unum. The InformationWeek 500 rankings are unique among corporate rankings as it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
