Edward Maher

Vice Chairman

Edward "Woody" Maher Jr. is vice chairman of Newmark Knight Frank's Boston-based Capital Markets Group, one of the nation's most successful institutional investment sales groups. Over the course of his 30-plus-year career, Edward has specialized in the disposition and/or joint venture/recapitalization of commercial real estate exceeding $50 billion. The assets range from Class A office towers and life science properties to suburban office campuses, large-scale logistics parks and urban mixed-use assets across the northeast United States. Prior to joining NKF, Edward was vice chairman with Cushman & Wakefield's Boston-based Capital Markets Group, the firm's No. 1 investment sales team globally.

Edward is an active member of both the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and he has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility with these and other organizations. Edward has also served on a variety of philanthropic boards and committees and is currently a member of the board of overseers at Boston Children's Hospital, a trustee at Derby Academy and a supporter of the Navy SEAL Foundation. Additionally, Edward is the co-founder of Champions for Children's, an annual benefit that has become the top fundraiser supporting Boston Children's Hospital. He graduated with honors from the College of the Holy Cross in 1987.

Edward resides with his son, Cole, and daughters Holly and Natalie in Boston.
